Role Description The Junior Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of residential construction projects at EK Homes. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves working closely with senior engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure structural integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, assisting with site inspections, monitoring construction progress, and coordinating with contractors and vendors. The role also involves collecting and analyzing technical data, supporting stormwater and drainage planning, and helping to resolve design or construction issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of core civil engineering principles and practices.
Skills in Civil Engineering Design, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Experience or coursework in Planning and Stormwater Management, especially for residential or urban infrastructure projects.
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Basic proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, or similar) and MS Office tools.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior civil engineers and project leaders.
