Accounting Manager

Role Description The Accounting Manager at Plantar MT will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data. This part-time remote role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, supervising journal entries, monitoring fixed asset records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accounting Manager will ensure adherence to accounting policies, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to leadership. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, responding to audit and compliance requests, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Financial Statements and Finance, with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly.
Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and Fixed Assets, including maintenance of ledgers and asset tracking.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing data, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions.
Knowledge of GAAP or other relevant accounting standards and experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, part-time environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
