Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Finance Box Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and support internal and external audits. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring financial transactions, reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and providing insights to support budgeting and forecasting. The role collaborates closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and to contribute to process automation and efficiency improvements aligned with the company’s technology-driven approach.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in core accounting practices, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes, with the ability to work effectively with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and comfort working with technology-driven financial tools and automation.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis, with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Prior experience in a senior accounting or lead accounting role, preferably within a technology-driven or financial services organization.
