Reporter

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The Reporter will research and cover stories at the intersection of personal finance, technology, and AI, producing clear, accurate, and engaging news content tailored to KYFR.AI’s mission and audience. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying story leads, conducting interviews with internal experts and external stakeholders, verifying facts and data, and writing news articles, explainers, and feature pieces. The role also involves collaborating with product and marketing teams to translate complex financial and technical concepts into accessible narratives, and creating multimedia content such as short videos, audio segments, or interactive formats to support reporting. The Reporter is expected to maintain high editorial standards, meet deadlines, and adapt coverage to evolving product developments and industry trends.
Qualifications
Strong reporting skills, including sourcing, interviewing, fact-checking, and story development.
Excellent writing and news writing abilities, with a track record of clear, concise, and accurate journalism.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging diverse audiences.
Experience with multimedia content creation (e.g., video, audio, interactive formats) to support and enhance reporting.
Familiarity with personal finance, fintech, or technology reporting is highly beneficial.
Ability to interpret data and complex information and present it in an accessible, reader-friendly format.
Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment, with strong time management and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
