Role Description
The Vice President Finance is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all core finance functions, including planning, reporting, and financial controls. Day-to-day activities include leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process, reviewing and analyzing monthly financial statements, and preparing management reports that support executive decision-making. This role will establish and refine financial policies, monitor cash flow and liquidity, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting that meets internal and external requirements. The Vice President Finance will partner with other leaders to evaluate business performance, assess investment opportunities, manage financial risk, and identify cost optimization and revenue growth initiatives. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing finance team, implementing best practices, and supporting system improvements to strengthen financial operations in a remote environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core finance disciplines, including Finance and Financial Planning, with experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to produce and interpret balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, variance analysis, and data-driven decision support for senior leadership.
Experience implementing and improving financial processes, controls, and systems; familiarity with ERP or financial software tools is beneficial.
Prior leadership experience in a senior finance role, managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a remote or distributed setting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, and non-discriminatory practices in leadership and decision-making.
