Role Description The Health Safety Environment Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures across ReNew’s on-site operations in Delhi, India. This full-time role includes conducting risk assessments, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and local regulations, as well as investigating incidents and recommending corrective and preventive actions. The engineer will develop and deliver HSE training programs, promote safety awareness, and support the integration of best practices into daily operations and project planning. The role also involves collaborating with operations, maintenance, and project teams to identify hazards, improve workplace safety, and support continuous improvement in environmental performance. The engineer will prepare HSE reports, maintain documentation, and support external audits and regulatory submissions as required.
Qualifications
Strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with the ability to apply these principles to industrial and energy sector environments.
Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Safety Engineering, including risk assessments, incident investigation, and compliance auditing.
Ability to design and deliver HSE Training programs and workshops for diverse operational teams.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, electrical, environmental, or industrial) or a related discipline; relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.
Familiarity with Indian HSE regulations, standards, and environmental laws; experience in renewable energy or heavy industry is beneficial.
Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and promote a safety-first culture.
