Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers at VM PLANNER is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer activities across various projects. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, scheduling shifts, and maintaining accurate volunteer records. The coordinator will provide training resources, guide volunteers through procedures, and serve as the primary point of contact for questions and support. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and community partners to plan outreach initiatives, communicate event details, and ensure volunteers are properly prepared. The coordinator will also monitor volunteer engagement, gather feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance the volunteer experience.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively organize, support, and develop volunteers.
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build relationships and convey information clearly to diverse groups.
Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach to engage partners, promote opportunities, and increase volunteer participation.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and schedules in a remote environment.
Comfort with using online collaboration tools, databases, and communication platforms to coordinate volunteers virtually.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, respect, and non-discriminatory practices in working with volunteers and community members.
Prior experience in volunteer coordination, community organizations, or event planning is preferred but not required.
