Remote Project Manage

Role Description The Owner role at MJ Electrical is a part-time remote position focused on overseeing strategic direction, operational performance, and business development. The owner will guide company vision, set priorities for projects, and ensure that service delivery aligns with ISO and Australian Standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial performance, monitoring major contracts and subcontracts, and supporting project teams with high-level decision-making. The role involves maintaining relationships with key construction partners, assessing new market opportunities, and providing oversight to apprenticeship and training initiatives. The owner will collaborate with the management team to manage risk, approve major investments, and uphold quality, safety, and compliance across all operations.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and strategic management skills, including business planning, decision-making, and stakeholder management.
Experience in the electrical trade or construction industry, with knowledge of project delivery, safety practices, and quality standards.
Financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, contract oversight, and basic understanding of business compliance requirements.
Ability to mentor and support technical teams and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity.
Familiarity with ISO standards and Australian electrical standards is highly beneficial.
Prior experience owning or managing a small to medium enterprise is an advantage.
