IT Project Manage

Role Description This part-time remote IT Project Manager role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing IT initiatives that support MJ Electrical’s operations and service delivery. Daily tasks include defining project scope and deliverables, creating schedules, managing resources, and tracking progress against milestones. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with technical and electrical teams to align technology solutions with business requirements, resolve project-related issues, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating technical support and troubleshooting activities, documenting project status, and maintaining risk and issue logs to support successful project completion. This position requires independent work, proactive problem solving, and effective virtual collaboration across different locations.
Qualifications
Strong Information Technology knowledge with the ability to oversee IT systems that support project workflows.
Hands-on Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to coordinate resolution of IT issues affecting project delivery.
Proven Team Leadership and Team Management abilities to guide cross-functional teams and keep projects on track.
Experience managing IT or technical projects, preferably in construction, engineering, or electrical services environments.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, including clear reporting of project status.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely, manage time independently, and use digital collaboration tools confidently.
Relevant tertiary qualification or professional certification in IT, project management, or a related discipline (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is beneficial.
Familiarity with ISO standards, quality assurance practices, or compliance frameworks in technical environments is an advantage.
