We are seeking a highly motivated Service Account Manager (SAM) to join our growing Paper Services team. This role is responsible for managing and expanding customer relationships throughout the Western United States while driving sales growth across ANDRITZ's service product portfolio.
As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will identify opportunities to improve mill performance, provide solutions that address operational challenges, and strengthen long-term partnerships within the pulp and paper industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with strong industry knowledge, technical expertise, and a passion for customer success.
Your Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with key customer accounts across the assigned territory.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, service opportunities, and account management activities.
Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales of ANDRITZ Paper Service products and solutions.
Develop a thorough understanding of customer operations, objectives, and business challenges to deliver value-added solutions.
Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, service, and product teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Represent assigned ANDRITZ product lines during customer visits, technical discussions, and sales presentations.
Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans, customer activity, and opportunity pipelines within the CRM system.
Manage territory budgets, forecasts, and expense controls to achieve business objectives.
Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies that improve retention and long-term account growth.
Provide input on process improvements and support implementation of best practices across the organization.
Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the pulp and paper industry.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience within the pulp and paper industry.
Knowledge of ANDRITZ Stock Preparation and Paper Machine Service product lines.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory (approximately 80%).
Preferred
Previous sales, business development, or account management experience in the pulp and paper industry.
Established relationships with paper industry customers in the Western U.S.
Demonstrated success achieving sales growth and territory objectives.
Experience supporting large industrial manufacturing or process industries.

Working Environment
This position is home-office based and requires frequent travel to customer sites, mills, and manufacturing facilities. Employees may be exposed to industrial environments including varying temperatures, dust, noise, moving equipment, and production operations. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when visiting customer facilities.
Please note: Previous DUI convictions may impact the ability to travel to Canada for business purposes.
