Scala Developer

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Scala, Angular, and PostgreSQL to support the modernization and enhancement of an enterprise commercial pricing platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Scala, Angular, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
Build and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.
Develop responsive and reusable Angular UI components using TypeScript and Angular Material.
Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
Integrate applications with enterprise systems, pricing engines, APIs, and data platforms.
Work with Scala-based services and pricing/calculation engines, including troubleshooting and enhancement.
Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, production troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Mentor engineers and promote coding standards, reusable components, and engineering best practices.
Required Skills
5–7 years of hands-on Scala development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Angular, preferably Angular 14+.
Strong TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular Material experience.
Strong PostgreSQL and SQL experience, including query optimization and database performance tuning.
Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
Experience with Scala frameworks/libraries such as Akka, Play Framework, Cats, ZIO, or similar.
Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and enterprise integrations.
Experience with Git and CI/CD, preferably Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting defects, and performing RCA.
Strong Agile/Scrum experience and ability to work with distributed teams.
