Engineering Manager (Backend)

Responsibilities:
Lead one or more technical projects with moderate to high complexity.
Lead a team of developers and testers to execute the project(s) from inception to production.
Collaborate with multiple internal Agile teams to execute the projects successfully.
Adept in one or more coding languages (Java/Python or PHP) and open-source frameworks.
Ability to create distributed systems using microservices and event-driven architecture.
Ability to create solutions with high availability, resilience and scalability.
Coach, mentor, and lead the developer.
Requirements:
We need you to have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
5 years of experience in software engineering.
Adept in one or more coding languages (Java/Python or PHP) and open-source frameworks.
Experience building streaming data applications (Spark Streaming, Kafka, Kinesis, etc. )
Experience using CICD practices.
At least 2 years of people management experience.
Ability to lead and manage teams up to size 8
At least 1 year of experience with AWS.
Ability to build Cloud Native applications.
Understanding of AWS services (Rt53 Compute, S3 Lambda, Database).
Understanding of Dockerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Participate in interviews and contribute to hiring.
Ability to attract and retain top talent.
At least 2 years of experience using agile methodology practices.
Expert in Agile and can run the Agile ceremonies for the Team.
Ability to utilise the capacity of the team using proper capacity planning.
Able to remove team impediments.
