About the role
We are working to build the future of AI by pushing the boundaries of what frontier models can achieve. The focus of this role will be independently building, debugging, and simulating models using OpenModelica headlessly through omc and OMPython, with reproducible, scripted workflows.
Responsibilities
Develop and troubleshoot Modelica models from engineering descriptions, specifications, and existing models.
Automate simulations with omc and OMPython and validate that results reflect the intended physics.
Create modeling tasks with reference solutions and review AI-generated work for technical accuracy.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of relevant industry or applied research experience, including substantial hands-on work with OpenModelica.
Relevant backgrounds include controls, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, energy systems, electrical engineering, and thermal/process simulation. Researchers and Modelica library developers are also encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Modelica and OpenModelica for physical-system modeling.
Hands-on experience with omc and OMPython for headless simulation and Python-based automation.
Ability to diagnose modeling and simulation failures and assess whether results are physically sound.
Ability to produce reproducible work and explain assumptions and technical feedback clearly in written English.
