Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Loan Officer / Relationship Officer role based in Rajasthan, India. The role involves meeting prospective customers in local communities, explaining SMHFC’s housing finance products, and supporting them through the loan application and documentation process. The Loan Officer / Relationship Officer will assess customer eligibility, assist in credit underwriting inputs, and coordinate loan origination activities, including field visits and verification. The role includes maintaining ongoing relationships with borrowers, addressing queries, and providing customer service throughout the loan lifecycle. The position also requires close collaboration with branch teams and credit, operations, and collections to ensure timely disbursement, portfolio quality, and positive customer experiences.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills related to loan officer responsibilities, including understanding of Loan Officers roles and Loan Origination processes.
Candidates should possess fundamental Finance knowledge, including basic credit assessment, understanding of housing finance products, and familiarity with lending norms.
Candidates should possess skills in Underwriting support, including collecting financial and non-financial information, validating data, and providing accurate inputs for credit decisions.
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, including communication, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with EWS/LIG customers and informal sector workers.
Additional beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related field; experience in housing finance or microfinance; fluency in local languages; willingness to travel for fieldwork; and strong ethical standards and integrity.
