Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Jhansi. The Salesperson will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, explaining banking products such as savings accounts, loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment solutions, and guiding customers through the onboarding process. Daily activities include meeting sales targets, conducting customer visits and branch-based interactions, generating leads through local outreach, and maintaining accurate records in the bank’s systems. The role requires close coordination with branch staff to ensure smooth service delivery, timely follow-up on customer queries, and adherence to compliance, documentation, and quality standards. The Salesperson will also support local marketing initiatives, promote digital banking channels, and represent HDFC Bank’s values in all customer engagements.
Qualifications
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to convert leads into successful customer relationships.
Customer service and communication skills to clearly explain banking products and address queries in a professional manner.
Basic financial literacy and understanding of retail banking products such as accounts, loans, cards, and insurance.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple customer interactions.
Comfort with using computers and digital tools, including CRM systems and mobile/online banking platforms.
Minimum educational qualification: typically a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in business, finance, or commerce is beneficial.
Prior experience in field sales or banking/financial services is an advantage but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
Integrity, professionalism, and willingness to comply with regulatory, documentation, and data confidentiality standards.
