Role Description The Audio Visual Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining AV systems for corporate, educational, and event environments. Daily activities include setting up and testing video conferencing systems, projectors, displays, and lighting equipment, as well as ensuring proper cabling, connectivity, and integration with existing IT infrastructure. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and supporting live events and meetings to guarantee reliable, high-quality AV experiences. The Audio Visual Technician will collaborate with project managers and clients to understand requirements, provide on-site support, and ensure that all AV setups meet safety and performance standards. Documentation of setups, timely reporting of issues, and adherence to company procedures and quality guidelines are integral to this position.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including installation, configuration, and integration in corporate or event environments.
Ability to troubleshoot AV-related issues, perform diagnostics, and implement effective technical solutions under time constraints.
Hands-on experience with Video Conferencing platforms and hardware, ensuring stable connectivity and high-quality audio and video.
Practical skills in managing Lighting systems and Projectors, including setup, alignment, calibration, and basic maintenance.
Basic understanding of networking and cabling related to AV setups, with the ability to work alongside IT teams.
Good communication skills and client-facing professionalism, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple tasks, and support occasional extended or irregular hours for events.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in electronics, audiovisual technology, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA) are an advantage.
