Key Responsibilities • Conduct First Piece Approval (FPA/FPI) before production start. • Monitor in-process inspection activities on production lines.
• Perform patrol inspection during running production.
• Verify critical dimensions, GD&T, surface finish, and visual parameters.
• Ensure control plans and inspection frequencies are followed.
• Monitor process stability and rejection trends machine-wise.
• Support production team in reducing setup rejection and in-process rejection.
• Identify process drift and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Verify offset correction and tooling condition during production.
• Guide and monitor line inspectors/operators for quality checks.
• Participate in root cause analysis for internal rejection and customer complaints.
• Implement CAPA for recurring quality issues
• Monitor SPC charts for critical dimensions
• Maintain FPI, patrol inspection, rejection, and process audit records
• Support PPAP, layout inspection, and audit activities.
Required Technical Knowledge • Engineering drawing reading
• GD&T basics
• SPC and process capability
• Micrometers, Verniers, Bore Gauges, Thread Gauges
• CNC machining process understanding
• Root cause analysis and CAPA
Experience 3–8 years in machining or precision component manufacturing industry.
