Role Description PhD /Project trainees will support ongoing research projects by performing routine experimental work, assisting in data collection, and maintaining lab records in accordance with established protocols. Daily tasks may include preparing reagents and media, handling samples, operating basic laboratory equipment, and following safety and quality guidelines. Trainees will collaborate with research staff to document results, contribute to project reports, and participate in group discussions or meetings. This is a full-time, on-site role based at CSIR-CCMB in Hyderabad, requiring consistent lab presence and adherence to institutional procedures.
Qualifications
Educational background in life sciences or related fields (e.g., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Foundational laboratory skills, including basic experimental techniques, sample handling, and familiarity with lab equipment and safety practices.
Ability to document experiments accurately, organize data, and follow written protocols and standard operating procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and willingness to learn new methods.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a diverse research team and follow guidance from supervisors.
High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to full-time, on-site engagement in Hyderabad.
Prior project, internship, or lab experience in a research or academic setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
