About the Role
Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the university hostel. Ensure the safety, security, discipline, and overall well-being of hostel residents. Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and code of conduct fairly and consistently.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the university hostel.
Ensure the safety, security, discipline, and overall well-being of hostel residents.
Monitor student attendance, entry/exit records, and hostel timings.
Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and code of conduct fairly and consistently.
Address student concerns, grievances, and accommodation-related issues promptly.
Maintain regular communication with students, parents/guardians, and university authorities when required.
Coordinate with security, housekeeping, maintenance, mess, and other support teams.
Conduct regular inspections of hostel rooms, common areas, and facilities.
Handle emergencies and coordinate with relevant authorities during medical, safety, or security incidents.
Maintain accurate records, reports, incident registers, and hostel documentation.
Organize and support student activities, meetings, and welfare initiatives within the hostel.
Identify and report any behavioural, safety, or disciplinary concerns to the appropriate university authorities.
Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable hostel safety standards.
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive residential environment for students.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Previous experience in hostel administration, residential schools, colleges, universities, or student accommodation is preferred.
Experience in handling students or young adults will be an added advantage.
Candidates with relevant administrative, security, or student welfare experience may also be considered.
