Vice President Manufacturing - PEPTIDES

Role Overview:
The Peptide Manufacturing Head will have end-to-end responsibility for peptide manufacturing operations across four production blocks, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient and timely execution of customer projects.
The role includes leading production teams, optimizing peptide synthesis workflows, maintaining GMP standards, and acting as a key technical interface for customer interactions during audits, queries, and project execution
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Lead and oversee end-to-end peptide manufacturing operations across manufacturing blocks.
Peptide production planning, execution and to verify the manufacturing facility to run smooth production activities and its associated analytics, from initial molecules scale up to registration.
Own production plans, capacity utilisation, manpower deployment and adherence to committed timelines.
Ensure batches are manufactured as per approved MFR/BMR, SOPs and established GMP requirements.
Responsible for effective scalability and technology transfer of Peptide small and complex molecules from lab-scale (gram) to the production scale (kgs) in compliance with GMP & EHS requirements.
Responsible for carrying out process feasibility analysis ,process scale-up from bench scale to plant scale, optimization studies, reduce batch failures, batch reprocessing, reworking, incident, OOS, OOT and deviation etc.
Act as the primary manufacturing interface for customers for assigned peptide projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through technical credibility, responsiveness and operational transparency.
Participate in customer meetings, teleconferences, project reviews, audits and site visits.
Provide customers with accurate and timely updates on batch progress, manufacturing schedules, technical issues, deviations, investigations and project milestones.
Incumbent profile:
M.Sc. Chemistry/B Tech. Chemical Engineering with 20 years of relevant experience in Peptide manufacturing, with substantial experience in a CDMO environment.
Proven experience in managing large-scale peptide manufacturing operations and multiple production areas/blocks
Well versed in peptide scale up of peptide techniques and hands on experience in the handling of Microwave reactor, RPHPLC columns and Lyophilize
Expertise in the process development of complex generic peptides molecules by meeting targets of efficacy, scalability, and quality.
Customer-facing communication skills with technical clarity.
