Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at SNJB's Shriman Sureshdada Jain College of Pharmacy in Chandvad for Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors. The role includes planning and delivering lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in pharmacy and related subjects, as well as mentoring and advising students on academic and professional matters. Faculty members are expected to develop course materials, participate in curriculum design, assess student performance, and maintain accurate academic records. Daily responsibilities also involve engaging in research and scholarly activities, contributing to institutional committees, supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes, and participating in seminars, workshops, and outreach programs. Collaboration with colleagues, active involvement in departmental initiatives, and adherence to regulatory and university guidelines are integral to this position.
Qualifications
Advanced academic qualifications in Pharmacy (M.Pharm or Ph.D. in a relevant specialization), with eligibility as per regulatory and university norms; prior teaching or research experience is highly beneficial.
Strong subject-matter expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and related disciplines, with the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and guide student projects.
Demonstrated skills in academic planning, curriculum development, and student assessment, including preparation of lesson plans, evaluation tools, and learning resources.
Research-oriented mindset with ability to design and conduct studies, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to conferences and professional bodies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners, foster an inclusive classroom environment, and provide constructive feedback.
Proficiency in academic documentation, use of educational technologies, and basic computer applications relevant to teaching, learning, and administration.
