DOC Services is looking for a Field Service Electro-Mechanical Floater Technician who wants more than a job in one building — someone who wants variety, the open road (or open sky), and the satisfaction of solving a different mechanical or electrical puzzle every day. If you're the type who gets restless doing the same repair in the same shop week after week, this role is built for you.
We send you where the work is — anywhere in the country — and we make the travel part easy: we cover your flights or drive time, and we set up your lodging, so all you have to do is show up ready to work. Expect to be on the road roughly 2–3 weeks a month, with the rest of your time to recharge at home.
What You'll Do
Skills
No two days look the same. You'll travel to customer sites across the country and put a wide range of hands-on skills to work:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures on equipment, finding cost-effective solutions on the spot
Perform preventative maintenance to customer contract specs and OSHA safety standards
Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines
Tackle a variety of trades — electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, facility, light construction, and welding
Complete service calls within contract time frames and customer service level agreements
Document your work and communicate with customers, your supervisor, and coworkers using company-provided technology
Order and manage the parts you need to keep downtime to a minimum
Perform inventory reconciliation as scheduled
Spot ways to prevent future service issues and share recommendations with customers
Help grow service contract revenue, profitability, and efficiency

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment
Ability to read schematics
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
