What You'll Do
You'll perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on Commercial HVAC units and light industrial equipment at big-box retail locations within about a 3-hour radius of home — no cross-country travel required. Day to day, you'll:
Troubleshoot electronic and electrical components to find the source of a problem
Perform repair and preventative maintenance on Commercial HVAC and refrigeration units
Diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and listening for what's wrong
Dismantle and repair equipment using hand and power tools, then reassemble it right
Identify and order the correct parts quickly to minimize downtime
Keep parts and supply inventory stocked, anticipating what you'll need based on trends
Report in daily and stay in regular contact with store managers, your regional DOC supervisor, and office admin
Follow OSHA and DOC safety regulations on every job
