Role Description
This is a full time Machine Learning Engineer role at Foundly. The Machine Learning Engineer will design, build, and optimize machine learning systems that power intelligent matching and case management across the Foundly platform.
The work includes developing and evaluating models for text and image matching, building data pipelines, experimenting with retrieval and ranking approaches, integrating models into production systems, and monitoring performance to improve accuracy and reliability.
You will work closely with product and engineering teams and contribute to the technical direction of matching systems designed to operate across airports, airlines, and high volume recovery environments.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and software engineering
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit learn
• Experience developing machine learning systems for real world applications
• Understanding of neural networks, statistics, model evaluation, and experimentation
• Experience with text or image processing, embeddings, similarity search, classification, retrieval, or ranking systems
• Experience preparing datasets, feature engineering, and building reliable data pipelines
• Experience integrating and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, as well as APIs and modern software systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with computer vision, multimodal systems, semantic search, aviation, logistics, or large operational platforms is a plus. Experience with model reliability, privacy, security, and responsible deployment is also valued.
