About the Role
We are looking for a Site Head to lead the overall operations, operational excellence and strategic management of a chemical and specialty chemical manufacturing facility. You will have full accountability for manufacturing operations, process safety, environmental compliance, production planning, quality, maintenance, engineering, supply chain coordination and people management, ensuring safe, sustainable and cost-effective operations while driving continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and business performance.
Given the hazardous nature of chemical manufacturing, this role demands exceptional expertise in process safety, statutory compliance, emergency preparedness and operational discipline.

Location: Greater Rann of Kutch (Hajipir), Gujarat (Onsite)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, cost and delivery targets
- Ensure uninterrupted plant operations through planning, resource allocation and cross-department coordination
- Optimize plant utilization, capacity, yield, energy consumption and operational efficiency
- Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a strong safety culture with zero tolerance for unsafe practices
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and risk management systems
- Lead HAZID, HAZOP, PHA, LOPA and Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Ensure safe handling, storage, transportation and processing of hazardous chemicals
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure full compliance with environmental, occupational health, safety and statutory regulations
- Oversee hazardous waste management, emissions monitoring, effluent treatment and environmental performance
- Lead emergency response planning, mock drills, disaster management and crisis response
- Develop annual production plans aligned with business objectives
- Improve process efficiency, product recovery, quality and manufacturing reliability
- Reduce production costs, utility consumption and process losses through technology and automation
- Ensure high equipment availability and plant reliability through preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance
- Manage shutdown planning, capital projects, plant modifications and integrity of critical equipment
- Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and drive quality systems and continuous quality improvement
- Coordinate statutory inspections and regulatory audits; maintain licenses, permits, approvals and compliance documentation
- Interface effectively with government authorities and regulatory agencies
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets; monitor manufacturing costs and drive cost optimization
- Support procurement, inventory optimization and supply chain coordination
- Lead cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Quality, Utilities, Stores, Logistics and Administration
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, employee development, workforce engagement and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards
- Collaborate with corporate leadership, customers, suppliers, contractors and regulators, and represent the site during audits, customer visits and government interactions
- Build strong relationships with local communities while promoting responsible industrial operations
