🎬 We’re Hiring | Sound Designer – Film & TV
AAFT University of Media and Arts, Raipur is looking for a creative and technically skilled Sound Designer – Film & TV to join our academic team.
🎧 Position: Sound Designer – Film & TV
Department: Cinema / Film & Television
Location: Kharora, Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Employment Type: Full-Time
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design and develop soundscapes for films, television, web series and other audiovisual productions.
Work on dialogue editing, sound effects, ambience, Foley and sound design.
Handle recording, editing, mixing and post-production workflows.
Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, editors and other creative teams to achieve the desired audiovisual experience.
Conduct practical sessions and demonstrations on professional sound recording and post-production techniques.
Guide students through industry-oriented projects, short films and production exercises.
Maintain and operate professional audio equipment and sound-editing software.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in film sound, immersive audio and audiovisual production.
🔹 Desired Skills
Strong understanding of film sound design and audio post-production.
Hands-on experience with Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Reaper or other professional DAWs.
Knowledge of Foley, ADR, dialogue editing, sound effects, mixing and mastering.
Understanding of 5.1 surround sound, immersive audio/Dolby workflows will be an advantage.
Strong creative and storytelling abilities through sound.
Good communication and mentoring skills.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Degree/ Masters in Sound Design, Audio Engineering, Film & Television, Music Production
Relevant professional experience in Film, Television, OTT, Advertising or Audio Post-Production.
Candidates with strong industry portfolios and practical production experience will be preferred.
Teaching/academic experience will be an added advantage.
