About the Role:
UrbanWear is looking for a Textile Designer who understands design beyond just making things look good. We’re looking for someone who can turn ideas into production-ready designs for apparel and textiles.
If you’re someone who learns by doing, understands design software well, and has hands-on experience with sublimation printing, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
Create textile, apparel and print designs for different client requirements.
Develop sublimation designs and prepare artwork for production.
Work on repeat patterns, placements, colour combinations and print layouts.
Create and edit designs using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Ensure artwork is technically accurate and production-ready.
Coordinate with the production team to understand printing and manufacturing requirements.
Make design modifications based on client feedback and production feasibility.
Maintain organised design files, artwork and production-ready assets.
Explore new design trends, techniques and creative references relevant to apparel and textiles.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong hands-on knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Practical experience with sublimation designing is a must.
Good understanding of colours, patterns, prints and layouts.
Basic knowledge of fabric and textile materials will be an added advantage.
Ability to understand a design brief and turn it into a workable design.
Strong attention to detail.
A good eye for aesthetics and colour combinations.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
