The role
We are adding remote recording artists who can write, record, and deliver finished work from anywhere. You stay independent. We handle global digital and physical distribution, splits, store delivery, and the Cleveland desk. Primary lanes: hip-hop, R&B, spiritual, and compilation.
Responsibilities
• Write, record, mix-ready deliver, and release original music on a consistent schedule
• Submit complete packages: masters, artwork, metadata, credits, and splits
• Work with the house on digital store delivery and, when selected, vinyl / CD / cassette pressing and global retail
• Approve metadata, ISRC/UPC, release dates, and physical specs when a title goes to press
• Participate in A&R notes, radio/sync opportunities, and catalog statements as needed
• Represent the roster professionally online and on release campaigns
• Keep ownership of your masters; coordinate publishing admin when enrolled

Who we’re looking for
• Proven songwriter / recording artist with a clear voice and finished records, not demos only
• Able to work remotely and hit delivery dates without being in the 116th Street studio
• Comfortable owning your catalog, credits, and splits
• Genre fit: hip-hop, R&B, spiritual, or compilation-ready work
• Professional communication and release hygiene (files, artwork, credits, paperwork)
• Preference for artists who already have an audience or a focused local-to-global story
