The Division Vice President, Operational & Supply Chain Excellence is a strategic executive responsible for driving operational performance, continuous improvement, supply chain excellence, digital transformation, and operations acquisition integration across the Ultra Precision Technologies (UPT) Division of AMETEK. This position will be ideally located in the Boston, MA area and reports to the Divisional General Manager.
As a key member of the divisional leadership team, this role partners closely with Business Unit leaders to establish and execute a division-wide Operational Excellence strategy that improves productivity, quality, customer delivery, working capital, profitability, and organizational capability. The DVP, Operational and Supply Chain Excellence will champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), AI-enabled operational innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with AMETEK's growth strategy and performance objectives.
This leader will also play a critical role in M&A due diligence, post-acquisition integration, global footprint optimization, low-cost region manufacturing strategies, and operational talent development.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Operational Leadership
Establish a vision for Operations and Supply Chain that delivers sustainable growth, margin expansion, and customer satisfaction.
Partner with Division and Business Unit leadership teams to develop and execute the division-wide Operational and Supply Chain Excellence strategy aligned with business goals and AMETEK operating principles.
Participate in annual strategic planning, operating reviews, and executive budget presentations.
Lead deployment of AI-enabled solutions and digital transformation opportunities that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, workflow automation, and business performance.
Leverage analytics, automation, ERP systems, and emerging technologies to improve productivity and visibility throughout operations.
Lead operational due diligence, develop and execute integration plans that deliver operational synergies, improve scalability, and accelerate value creation.
Define organizational structures and capability requirements necessary to enable business growth and build a talent pipeline through coaching, training, and succession planning.
Establish division-wide Operational Excellence competency frameworks and training programs.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Transformation
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and lead deployment of business system tools including overseeing Kaizen events, operational assessments, and enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
Develop current and future-state value stream maps and execute improvement roadmaps to achieve productivity, quality, and cost targets.
Ensure all operational activities champion a safety-first culture, comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, environmental policies, and company procedures.
Operations & Supply Chain Excellence
Improve operational performance across key metrics including productivity, on-time delivery, inventory turns, working capital, quality, capacity utilization, and profitability.
Standardize and strengthen production planning, backlog visibility, and capacity management processes.
Partner with leadership to identify capital investment opportunities that improve capability, efficiency, and scalability.
Build and execute sourcing and low-cost region strategies that support long-term growth and competitiveness.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Experience
10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial technology, electronics, instrumentation, or electro-mechanical environments.
Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles with responsibility for multi-site operations, operational excellence, or supply chain functions.
Demonstrated success leading Lean transformations and enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience supporting acquisition due diligence, integration activities, and operational synergy realization.
Proven success implementing global manufacturing strategies and low-cost region initiatives.
Experience leveraging AI, analytics, automation, and digital technologies to improve operational performance.
Ability to travel up to 50% Domestic and International
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPS, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SMED, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
Strong business acumen with understanding of P&L management, working capital, and operational financial drivers.
