Role Description The Credit Manager – Personal Loans will manage end-to-end credit assessment and decisioning for personal loan applications, ensuring adherence to Tata Capital’s credit policies and risk frameworks. This full-time, on-site role in Chandigarh involves evaluating applicant profiles, analyzing financial statements and credit reports, and recommending approvals or rejections within defined authority limits. The role includes monitoring portfolio performance, identifying early warning signals, and supporting collection teams with credit-related insights. The Credit Manager will collaborate closely with sales, operations, and risk teams to maintain portfolio quality, improve approval turnaround times, and support process enhancements. The role also requires maintaining regulatory and internal compliance, preparing credit MIS and reports, and contributing to continuous improvement in credit evaluation methodologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Credit Management and Credit skills in the context of personal loans.
Candidates should possess experience in Credit Risk Management and Finance to assess and manage portfolio quality.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, credit reports, and customer profiles.
Relevant experience in retail lending or consumer finance, particularly personal loans, is beneficial.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, internal risk policies, and lending practices is preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with sales and operations teams.
Ability to work accurately under time constraints and handle multiple applications without compromising quality.
A graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
