Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) – Security & Surveillance
Department: Sales & Business Development
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 8 -12 Years
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager – IT Infrastructure to lead regional sales operations, drive revenue growth, develop new business opportunities, and manage customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Regional Sales & Revenue Growth
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify new business opportunities in IT Infrastructure, Networking, Surveillance, Data Centers, Telecom, and related solutions.
Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans for the assigned region.
Achieve sales targets through direct sales, channel partners, OEMs, and system integrators.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Expand the customer base across government, PSU, enterprise, and commercial sectors.
B. Business Development
Generate leads through customer visits, references, industry events, and market research.
Build strong relationships with CIOs, IT Heads, Procurement Heads, Government Departments, and PSU officials.
Develop new accounts and strengthen existing customer relationships.
Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
C. IT Infrastructure Solutions
The candidate should be able to understand and sell the following solutions:
IT Infrastructure & Networking
Servers, storage, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, and data centers.
Security & Surveillance
CCTV, IP cameras, ANPR, video management systems, and command centers.
Telecom & Fiber Networks
OFC, FTTH, fiber networking, telecom infrastructure, and network deployment.
Managed IT & Data Center Solutions
IT support, AMC, cloud-related infrastructure, UPS, and facility solutions.
D. Tender & Government Business Development
Identify and evaluate government and PSU tender opportunities.
Coordinate with the tender team for technical and commercial bid submissions.
Understand EMD, eligibility criteria, OEM authorization, experience, turnover, and other pre-qualification requirements.
Develop relationships with OEMs, distributors, and consortium partners.
Support preparation of technical proposals, BOQs, and commercial quotations.
Follow up on tender results, purchase orders, and contract opportunities.
E. Team Management
Lead, guide, and motivate regional sales executives and BDMs.
Set individual and team sales targets.
Conduct weekly sales reviews and pipeline meetings.
Monitor lead generation, customer visits, quotations, and order conversion.
Train team members on IT infrastructure products and sales techniques.
Ensure timely reporting and achievement of business objectives.
F. Commercial & Order Management
Prepare and negotiate quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.
Ensure healthy gross margins and profitable business.
Coordinate with Finance, Presales, Procurement, and Project Execution teams.
Follow up on purchase orders, billing, collections, and payment realization.
Ensure timely handover of confirmed orders to the execution team.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA in Marketing / Sales is an added advantage.
Technical certifications in networking, data centers, or IT infrastructure are desirable.
Experience
8–12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Sales / Business Development.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a regional sales leadership role is preferred.
Experience handling enterprise customers, government departments, PSUs, and large projects.
Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
Technical Knowledge
Good understanding of IT infrastructure products and solutions.
Knowledge of networking, servers, storage, surveillance, telecom, and data centers.
Understanding of solution selling, BOQ preparation, and project-based sales.
Familiarity with OEM products such as Cisco, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Fortinet, Hikvision, or equivalent is an advantage.
