Python Developer

Role Description The Python Developer role at DT FIN-CON is a part-time, remote position focused on building and maintaining tools and applications that support the club’s initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing Python-based back-end services, integrating with databases, and supporting internal platforms used for quizzes, case study competitions, and analytics. The developer will collaborate with student leaders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions, optimize existing code, and ensure scalability and reliability. The role also involves documenting code, performing basic testing, and contributing ideas to improve digital experiences for members and event participants.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with solid proficiency in Python.
Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills, including experience in building APIs and server-side logic.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills, covering code structure, version control, testing, and debugging.
Candidates should possess Databases skills, including working with relational or NoSQL databases and writing efficient queries.
Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Django or Flask), basic knowledge of cloud or hosting platforms, and an interest in finance or consulting domains.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, student-led environment are important.
