1. About Our Client:
The organization operates within the event travel management industry, addressing the challenges of coordinating complex travel arrangements for event attendees. It focuses on delivering specialized travel solutions that align with clients’ objectives for event planning, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient service delivery.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Event Travel Manager is responsible for providing high-level travel management support to clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless event-related travel experiences. This role is key in managing client relationships, optimizing travel arrangements, and contributing to revenue generation while maintaining a strong return on investment for clients. The position supports program planning from post-sale through billing and plays a vital role in maintaining service quality and compliance.
3. Responsibilities:
Provide personalized travel support to event travelers, including managing cancellations, changes, and updates for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings.
Deliver accurate fare information for travel services as required.
Collaborate with client contacts to understand and meet program goals.
Identify critical success factors for event travel projects.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure compliance with contracts and service agreements.
Troubleshoot traveler issues using available tools and resources.
Coordinate program planning activities from post-sale to final billing.
Participate in team meetings to stay informed about product updates and industry trends.
Continuously improve knowledge of the travel industry and platform tools.
Support training initiatives for internal systems.
Assist Team Lead as needed.
4. Requirements:
One to three years of group travel planning experience preferred.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Experience with travel booking systems, preferably Navan TravelXen.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suites, and ability to learn new technology.
Experience with client-facing video calls and project management.
Familiarity with internal communication platforms such as Slack.
Ability to multitask and resolve urgent issues efficiently.
Empathetic and professional demeanor.
Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Four or more years of GDS experience preferred, including Sabre and familiarity with Amadeus and NDC.
Independent problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to develop and maintain key client relationships.
Strong customer service skills with positive CSAT outcomes.
Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Interest in travel and basic knowledge of world geography.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Pay range: $68,000—$72,000 USD
Compensation considers work location, skills, experience, market demand, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target earnings, pay includes base salary and target incentives, with higher compensation for exceeding targets.
