2. About the Opportunity:
The Secure Software Engineer role is focused on embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle. The position partners with engineering teams to design secure systems, identify vulnerabilities, and reduce risk across the application portfolio. This role combines hands-on offensive and defensive security skills with strong collaboration to help development teams build secure software efficiently.
3. Responsibilities:
Embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle
Partner with engineering teams to design secure systems
Identify software vulnerabilities and reduce risks
Perform code reviews across multiple programming languages
Utilize security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA integrated with CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with teams in an Agile environment to implement security improvements
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
At least five years of application security or security engineering experience
Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, common vulnerabilities, and exploit patterns
Hands-on experience with code review in at least two major programming languages
Familiarity with security tooling including SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD integration
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, cryptographic primitives, and cloud security
Proficiency in at least one programming language for tooling and automation
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GWAPT, or CISSP
Experience with offensive security tools and red-team operations
Participation in bug bounty programs, public CVEs, or open-source security projects
Familiarity with AI/LLM application security
Experience with compliance in regulated industries
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 annually
