Mobile App UI/UX Designer — Figma, Motion & Micro-interactions

About Tobbo
Tobbo is an early-stage consumer social app built around a deeply human behaviour — our curiosity to know what people really think.
Our core product behaviours and flows are being defined. We’re looking for a mobile-first UI/UX designer who can turn those ideas into a beautiful, intuitive and highly polished consumer mobile experience.
This is not a web-design or graphic-design role. We’re specifically looking for someone who understands how great consumer mobile apps should look, feel, move and respond.
What You’ll Own
* Own Tobbo’s end-to-end mobile UI/UX design in Figma.
* Turn product requirements and user behaviours into intuitive mobile flows and interfaces.
* Create wireframes, high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes.
* Own visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, layouts, components, states and design consistency.
* Design micro-interactions, transitions, gestures and motion that make the product feel alive and responsive.
* Think through every important state — loading, empty, error, success, selected, disabled, notifications and edge cases.
* Build and maintain Tobbo’s mobile design system and reusable component library.
* Work closely with developers to ensure the final product accurately reflects the intended experience.
* Review implemented screens and independently identify UX/UI imperfections.
* Continuously improve the product based on user behaviour, feedback and experimentation.
* Extend the product’s design language to responsive web experiences when required.
Who We’re Looking For
You should have strong hands-on experience designing mobile applications, not primarily websites.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong command of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout and interactive prototyping.
* Excellent understanding of mobile UI/UX and interaction design.
* Strong visual taste — typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition and consistency.
* Experience designing animations, transitions and micro-interactions.
* Understanding of iOS/Android interaction patterns, gestures and mobile usability.
* Ability to take a product idea or defined behaviour and independently turn it into a polished experience — without requiring pixel-by-pixel direction.
* Ability to work closely with engineers and design experiences that can actually be implemented.
* Strong product thinking: you should be able to explain why an interaction or design decision improves the user experience.
Experience with consumer social, creator, dating, gaming, entertainment, community or other highly interactive mobile products is a strong advantage.

This role is not primarily for:
* Website/web-app designers
* SaaS/dashboard-focused designers
* Graphic designers or branding-only designers
* Social-media creatives
* Developers looking for a frontend engineering position

We especially want to see:

For each project, tell us clearly what you personally owned.
If your portfolio is primarily websites, landing pages or dashboards, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.
