Role Description The Home Textile Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district. The designer will develop concepts and designs for home textile products such as bed linens, cushions, curtains, and other soft furnishings, ensuring that aesthetics, usability, and production requirements are well balanced. Day-to-day tasks include creating print and embroidery layouts, preparing detailed design specifications, selecting materials, colors, and textures, and collaborating with production teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing. The role also involves researching trends, preparing mood boards, digital design files, and samples, and working with merchandising or sales teams to align designs with market needs and brand standards. The designer is expected to participate in regular reviews, refine designs based on feedback, and maintain organized design documentation.
Qualifications
Strong skills in dealing with architects, understanding their needs
Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric types, construction, and suitability for different home applications.
Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design, using industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
Experience in home textile or fashion design, including portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
Understanding of color theory, pattern development, and trend analysis in home décor.
Attention to detail, ability to follow technical specifications, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
Willingness to work on-site in Mohali district and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
