ACCOUNT MANAGER – JD & JR

Reports To: Sales Head / Business Head
Job Description (JD)
The Account Manager is responsible for managing key customers like Radisson, Marriott, Ramada, ITC, Hilton group of hotels, developing new business, coordinating orders from enquiry to delivery, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires strong commercial understanding, relationship management, follow-up, and coordination with design, production, accounts, and logistics teams.
Job Responsibilities (JR)
1. Client Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and key accounts.
2. Business Development – Generate new enquiries and identify opportunities to increase business from existing customers.
3. Sales Targets – Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and collection targets.
4. Enquiry & Quotation Management – Understand customer requirements and coordinate accurate quotations, samples, specifications, and commercial offers.
5. Order Management – Follow orders from confirmation through production, quality checking, dispatch, and final delivery.
6. Internal Coordination – Coordinate with design, sourcing, production, accounts, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution.
7. Customer Follow-up – Maintain regular communication regarding samples, approvals, orders, deliveries, complaints, and upcoming requirements.
8. Payment & Collection – Monitor outstanding payments and ensure collections within agreed credit terms.
9. Complaint Resolution – Resolve customer concerns promptly and coordinate corrective action with relevant departments.
10. Account Growth – Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across curtains, blinds, bed linen, bath linen, carpets, upholstery and other furnishing products.
11. MIS & Reporting – Maintain updated records of enquiries, quotations, orders, sales, collections, outstanding payments, and customer follow-ups.
12. Market Intelligence – Track customer requirements, competitor activity, pricing trends, and new business opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Sales Achievement: Target vs. actual sales
Collections: Timely recovery of outstanding payments
Account Growth: Increase in business from existing accounts
New Business: New customers/accounts developed
Conversion: Enquiry/quotation-to-order conversion
Execution: On-time order delivery
Customer Retention: Repeat business and client satisfaction
Reporting: Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and follow-ups
Required Skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills, customer relationship management, sales orientation, commercial understanding, disciplined follow-up, problem-solving ability, MS Excel/CRM proficiency, and good coordination skills.
