Role Description This part-time Reporter role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site reporting and work-from-home tasks. The Reporter will research and gather news, conduct interviews, verify information, and produce clear, accurate written stories for digital and potentially print platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring news sources, attending relevant events or press briefings, developing story ideas, and collaborating with editors and multimedia teams to package content effectively. The role also involves adapting reports for online publication, ensuring headlines and summaries are engaging and factual, and meeting deadlines while following editorial guidelines and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, timely stories.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication and Writing skills for interviews, articles, and collaboration with editorial teams.
Candidates should possess basic to intermediate Multimedia skills, such as working with images, video clips, or audio to support stories.
Candidates should demonstrate strong research, fact-checking, and analytical abilities, along with attention to detail.
Relevant experience in journalism, media, or content production, preferably in the Gulf region or international news environments.
Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and SEO basics for news content.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
Diploma or degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
