About the Opportunity:
The LICENSING SPECIALIST role is responsible for managing physician licensure applications to ensure all new and current specialists meet state licensing requirements. This position supports the credentialing and licensing team by maintaining compliance and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience for physicians. The role contributes to the organization by ensuring physicians are properly licensed, which is critical for operational and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full licensing process for physicians
Initiate, track, and communicate licensing activities and associated expenses
Ensure new specialists have completed licensure before start dates
Maintain up-to-date licenses and compliance for current specialists across states
Coordinate licensing needs for additional customers as required
Communicate effectively with physicians and internal teams about licensing status
Collaborate with third-party vendors to secure timely licensing
Assist specialists with state board applications and follow-up documentation
Support clinical operations by ensuring smooth onboarding and consistent communication
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience with multi-state physician license applications, including IMLC and State Boards
Established relationships with state boards and IMLC
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in licensing radiologists and healthcare professionals
Knowledge of credentialing and payor enrollment processes
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The hourly rate for the position is between $31.25 and $36.06, plus benefits. Compensation varies based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and work location.
