About the Opportunity:
The BILLING SPECIALIST role is essential for managing the accurate and timely processing of home infusion medical claims. This position contributes to reducing denials, accounts receivable days, and bad debt by ensuring compliance with revenue cycle billing practices. The role supports the organization's financial health by optimizing billing and collections processes within a remote work environment.
Responsibilities:
Create and submit medical, pharmacy, and third-party claims accurately and promptly.
Ensure billing includes all revenue opportunities and submit to primary and secondary payers.
Resolve rejected electronic claims to prevent future denials.
Maintain and communicate the status of delivery tickets related to billing.
Document case activities and communications to ensure complete account records.
Provide billing expertise for training, policy, and procedure development.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2-5 years of home infusion billing and/or collections experience.
High School Diploma with specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, or collections.
Strong communication skills in English for interacting with patients, caregivers, and payers.
Proven understanding of billing and collections processes across payer types.
Ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions effectively.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed records.
Proficiency with MS Office and pharmacy applications.
Capability to work remotely with minimal supervision and meet production targets.
Detail-oriented with experience in post-billing and post-payment investigations is preferred.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The salary range for this position is $18.92 to $23.46 per hour.
