1. About Our Client:

2. About the Opportunity:
The Safety Officer role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing safety measures across multiple data center sites. This position ensures that safety standards are upheld, risks are effectively managed, and personnel are trained to maintain a secure workplace. The role contributes by developing safety plans, conducting regular training, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
3. Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
Develop tailored safety plans for each data center site.
Create and deliver weekly safety training seminars.
Collaborate with onsite teams to promote a safety-first culture.
Ensure team compliance with safety policies and protocols.
Stay current with OSHA standards and relevant safety regulations.
Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective measures.
Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training, and audits.
4. Requirements:
Active OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience working within data center build environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
Ability to design and conduct engaging weekly safety seminars.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation tools.
Flexibility for extensive travel within the United States.
Completion of security awareness training and compliance with policies.
Ability to identify and escalate safety risks to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional safety certifications such as CSP or CHST.
Experience with emergency response planning and first aid/CPR.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The base salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $117,000, plus opportunity for bonus. Compensation may vary in other locations.
