Role Description This is a contract, on-site Faculty Member position in the Department of Geology at Central University of Karnataka, located in Kalaburagi. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical classes, and tutorials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, following the department’s curriculum and academic regulations. Day-to-day activities include preparing and updating course materials, guiding students in laboratory and fieldwork, supervising student projects, and participating in academic assessment and examination processes. The role involves contributing to departmental research activities, attending faculty meetings, supporting academic events, and engaging in student mentoring and academic advising. The faculty member is also expected to uphold academic integrity, participate in quality assurance processes, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning environment.
Qualifications
As per UGC Regulations
Commitment to student-centered teaching, mentoring, and support for learners from varied backgrounds.
Familiarity with academic regulations, examination processes, and maintenance of proper documentation and records.
Experience in field-based teaching, use of geological tools and software, and safe laboratory practices is highly desirable.
Willingness to contribute to departmental activities, academic events, and outreach initiatives.
