Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Azamgarh. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing prescription medications, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring appropriate dosages and drug interactions. Day-to-day tasks include counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and storage; maintaining detailed patient and prescription records; and supporting inventory management, including ordering, storing, and checking expiry dates of medicines. The role also involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, adhering to all relevant pharmacy regulations and safety standards, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D) from an accredited institution and valid pharmacist registration/license as required by local regulations.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions, and standard treatment guidelines.
Ability to dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for completeness, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Effective communication skills to counsel patients clearly and collaborate with healthcare providers in a professional manner.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain precise records and manage medication inventory.
Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and confidentiality, with a focus on delivering high-quality care.
Basic computer literacy for working with pharmacy management systems and electronic records; prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
