Role Description
The Documentation & Communication Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining clear, accurate documentation for programs, projects, and organizational processes, including reports, case studies, manuals, and communication materials. The manager will coordinate internal and external communications, prepare content for newsletters, social media, and stakeholder updates, and ensure consistent messaging aligned with Sanjeevan’s mission and values. Day-to-day tasks include gathering information from program teams, organizing data and narratives, editing and formatting documents, managing knowledge repositories, and supporting grant proposals and donor communications. The role also involves collaborating with field staff, monitoring communication effectiveness, and recommending improvements to strengthen outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
Strong skills in documentation, report writing, and drafting communication materials for diverse audiences.
Experience in editing, proofreading, and ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality across written outputs.
Ability to manage information and data, organize content, and maintain structured archives and knowledge repositories.
Competence in stakeholder communication, including internal coordination, donor communication, and community-focused messaging.
Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Canava word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email and communication platforms).
Relevant experience in the social sector, education, community development, or public health is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Ability to work on-site in Pune Division, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
