Role Description The Head of Department at Orion College of Hotel Management is a full-time, on-site role based in Nizamabad. This position is responsible for overseeing academic programs within the department, including curriculum planning, scheduling, and alignment with industry standards. Daily responsibilities include supervising faculty, mentoring staff, monitoring teaching quality, and supporting learner performance and outcomes. The Head of Department collaborates with college leadership on strategic initiatives, ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and contributes to accreditation and quality assurance processes. The role also involves building industry partnerships, coordinating internships or practical training opportunities, and representing the department in internal and external meetings.
Qualifications
Strong academic and professional background in hotel management, hospitality, or a related field, preferably with a master’s degree or higher.
Experience in academic leadership or departmental administration, including faculty supervision, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
Proficiency in learner-centered teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and education best practices in hospitality management.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, learners, and external stakeholders.
Proven organizational and planning abilities to manage schedules, resources, and multiple academic activities within the department.
Experience in building and maintaining industry partnerships, coordinating internships, and aligning programs with current hospitality trends.
