Role Description The Vice President of Product Strategy is a full-time remote leadership role responsible for defining and driving the product vision, portfolio strategy, and long-term roadmap for Apna Agro’s digital agriculture ecosystem. This role oversees market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and ensure products address the needs of diverse stakeholders across the agricultural value chain. The Vice President collaborates closely with product management, engineering, data, marketing, sales, and operations teams to prioritize initiatives, align resources, and deliver impactful, scalable solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading strategic planning cycles, shaping go-to-market strategies, monitoring product performance and unit economics, and making data-driven decisions on investments and innovation. The role also involves mentoring product leaders, establishing best practices, and partnering with senior leadership to align product strategy with company vision and financial goals.
Qualifications
Strong product strategy and product management skills, with experience defining vision, roadmaps, and portfolios for digital platforms or marketplaces.
Advanced analytical skills to interpret market data, user behavior, and product performance, and to support data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, including long-term growth planning, prioritization frameworks, and cross-functional alignment.
Solid understanding of finance, including budgeting, unit economics, ROI analysis, and evaluating product investments.
Leadership experience managing product teams or multi-disciplinary groups, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
Background in B2B technology, supply chain, or agriculture-related sectors is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
