Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Ludhiana. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving partner acquisition and sales growth, managing and expanding the local distribution network, and building strong relationships with agents, channel partners, and business customers. The role includes identifying new business opportunities, conducting market mapping, and executing local strategies to increase penetration of InsuranceDekho’s products. Typical activities involve conducting meetings and trainings with partners, monitoring performance metrics, ensuring adherence to company processes, and coordinating with internal teams for smooth onboarding and servicing. The Business Development Manager will also support marketing and field activation initiatives, gather customer and market feedback, and provide regular reporting on pipeline and revenue performance.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development capabilities, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing skills.
Experience in relationship and account management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with agents, partners, and corporate clients.
Knowledge of insurance or financial services, including basic understanding of products such as motor, health, life, and other general insurance lines (experience in the insurance domain is an advantage).
Ability to analyze market data, track performance metrics, use CRM or sales tools, and prepare clear reports and forecasts.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages, and the ability to conduct trainings and group meetings.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently, meet targets, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in sales or insurance are beneficial.
Prior field sales or on-ground business development experience in Ludhiana or surrounding regions, with willingness to travel locally as needed.
