Role Description The Marketing Merchandising Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Panipat. This position is responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies that align with overall marketing and sales objectives, including managing product assortments, pricing, and promotional activities for key markets. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and competitor research, analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and collaborating with design, production, and sales teams to ensure collections meet customer and buyer requirements. The role also involves coordinating with export clients, preparing product presentations and catalogs, supporting trade shows or buyer meetings, and optimizing product positioning across markets. The Marketing Merchandising Manager is expected to maintain accurate merchandising documentation and contribute to continuous improvement in marketing and merchandising processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Market Planning and Marketing Strategy to design and implement effective merchandising and promotional plans.
Candidates should possess Marketing and Market Research skills to understand customer needs, monitor trends, and assess competitor activities.
Candidates should possess Sales and related commercial acumen to support pricing decisions, buyer negotiations, and revenue growth.
Candidates should have proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of spreadsheets or merchandising tools to interpret sales and inventory performance.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and export clients, and to create clear product presentations.
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in merchandising or marketing, ideally in textiles, home décor, or export-oriented businesses.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects on-site in Panipat are essential.
