Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $110,000 – $180,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.
Role Overview
We are hiring a C++ Software Engineer to build performance-critical systems software. The role works on the parts of the stack where memory, latency, and concurrency matter — combining systems-level expertise with disciplined engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build performance-critical systems in modern C++ (C++17/20)
- Optimise code for memory, throughput, and latency
- Diagnose and resolve complex bugs across multi-threaded systems
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
- Profile and benchmark performance of production systems
- Partner with adjacent teams on integrations and tooling
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years building production C++ systems
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) and the standard library
- Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and lock-free data structures
- Familiarity with profiling and performance analysis tools
- Working knowledge of build systems (CMake, Bazel) and Git
- Solid understanding of computer architecture and memory models
