Role Overview
We are hiring a Python Developer to build and maintain backend services and data pipelines. The role works on real product systems — clean code, sensible architecture, and the discipline to keep what you ship working tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Write clean, well-tested code following modern Python best practices
- Design and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Optimise performance and resource usage across services
- Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years building production Python applications
- Strong knowledge of Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker)
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and modern testing frameworks (pytest)
- Pragmatic approach to trade-offs between speed and quality
